Meetup Reflection: Vibecoding in Amsterdam August 2025

Last night we hosted another vibecoding meetup in Amsterdam — and while the group was small (7 people), the conversations were powerful. What became clear once again is that people are looking for hands-on exploration with AI and low-code tools, not just high-level talks.

We circled around a few themes that keep coming back:

• How to make something tangible (a blog, portfolio, or landing page) with AI + low-code tools

• How to configure websites so they’re production-ready

• Building simple automation flows with n8n or connecting agents to databases and APIs

• How to use platforms like Lovable to ship faster and collaborate inside a growing community

The big insight? 👉 People know AI is the future, but what’s missing is the bridge from idea → prototype → production. Our meetups can become that bridge — a space for community-driven exploration, where we don’t just talk but actually build together.

💡 My reflection: the next step is to design sessions where everyone leaves with something real in their hands. Whether it’s a landing page, a working agent, or even a small automation, the focus is on learning by doing. And this resonates not just with indie makers — bigger companies are curious too. They want to experiment, but often don’t have a playground. We can be that playground.
